At the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, a group of passionate and determined people work to design, develop, manufacture and race the cars driven by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and rising star George Russell.

The Commercial team are responsible for all revenue-generating opportunities, principally managing the acquisition of partners. This represents an outstanding opportunity for anyone who is seeking to start a career in top tier global sports marketing.

The successful candidate will undertake research and analysis of brands, develop insights (supported with appropriate data) and produce content to support sponsorship proposals within our Commercial team in the Marketing Department.

You will support on, and take ownership of, certain strategic commercial projects related to Mercedes F1 – under the guidance of senior team members. This could include initiatives related to our Retail, Merchandising & Licensing programme, E-commerce etc.

Providing overall administrative support to the commercial team including event planning, gifting, and SAP.

Candidate Profile:

The successful applicant will have a strong record of academic achievement and currently be studying a Business, Marketing, Economics related degree that includes a placement year in industry. Non-academic achievements and interests are important as the candidate will need to be a very confident communicator, highly articulate, well-read, and socially dynamic with the motivation and resilience to handle this highly challenging and fast paced environment.

Recruitment timings and process:

Typically, our Industrial Placements are for a thirteen-month period with an anticipated start date of 3 July 2023.

By the time the placement begins, you must have completed a minimum of two years at university, with at least one academic year of study remaining after your placement.

Application is fully online. When you apply you will be asked to upload your CV and cover letter (the preferred format is one single pdf file). You will also complete an online application form including details of your academic study and relevant experience. Following your application, you will be emailed links to our online testing. The Hiring Manager will review your application and test scores and if successful you will be invited to attend a short video interview. The final stage will be an assessment centre to be held in late October / November. This may be virtual or in person. Due to the volume of applications, we only provide feedback to candidates who are invited to the final stage.
