The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for performing functions such as evaluations, upgrades, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs that support the infrastructure and business processes. The IT Systems Engineer also plans, conducts, and leads the analysis of business problems with IT solutions.
In This Role You Will
Design and manage business critical applications in cloud infrastructure environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP;
Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers;
Assist with the development of project plans, risk assessments and continuity plans;
Work with Infrastructure and Security teams to develop IT policies;
Work with the team to develop and maintain IT documentation;
Develop tools and systems to automate repetitive tasks to improved end-user IT experience;
Participate in IT operations and end-user support;
Develop system monitoring systems to aid maintaining 99.999 uptime;
Deploy and manage Unified Communications Platform;
Other duties as assigned.
The Experience You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) or equivalent relevant work experience.
Five (5) years' related work experience.
Experience implementing, deploying, and administering SaaS like, 365, Slack, Zoom.
Hands-on experience supporting Linux and Mac environments.
Hands-on experience implementing, deploying, and administering in Azure and 365 environments.
Hands-on experience supporting Cisco Call Manager environments or other Unified Communications platforms.
Experience and ability developing automation workflows and integrations for repetitive tasks.
Experience and ability to manage Microsoft SharePoint.
Hands-on experience supporting VMWare environments.
Hands-on experience deploying and supporting SFTP Servers.
Hands-on implementing and supporting MDM in a Windows and Apple environment.
Hands-on experience implementing and supporting SSO (Single Sign-on).
Team player.
Able to develop solutions to problems, as well as manage multiple issues at the same time.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and internal stakeholders.
Able to work evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Nice to Have:
Microsoft Certifications and/or Cisco Certifications.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, VB scripting, Python.
Microsoft Azure/365 Certifications.
Cisco CCNA.
