The ideal candidate is an innovative, enthusiastic and customer-oriented IT professional who will oversee all of the activities of our IT infrastructure, including all systems, processes, applications, controls and security while building a scalable IT team. This hands-on leader will work cross-functionally to develop and execute an IT strategy that not only meets current needs of our business, but also positions the organization for continued growth and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.

This position will work closely with senior management, vendors and other key business decision makers in identifying and implementing thoughtful technology solutions for all apsects of the business.

In This Role You Will

  • Manages, sets the vision, and maintains governance of IT Operations, which consists of the Infrastructure, Information Security, and Technology Support/Help Desk groups.

  • Accountable for the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of applications, infrastructure and associated data.

  • Responsible for the implementation and executive of all IT related functions for FedExForum games, concerts, and events including compliance with NBA IT guidelines for game nights

  • Manages and directs the preparation of detailed work plans for staff resources and monitors work plans for progress, adjusting resources allocation and priorities.

  • Sets the appropriate priority for pending requests for IT services based upon the business business strategies and input from business stakeholders.

  • Meets with business leadership and vendors to determine technical needs, requirements, program priorities, and implementation approaches.

  • Oversees operations of the IT Security Function by Determining the strategies for system security, system architecture, and for disaster recovery, and other methods to maintain continuity and security of business operations to executive management.

  • Determines with business unit partners the technology, design, implementation and quality assurance methods and project management solutions for each IT project.

  • Directs the development and implementation of various IT systems ensuring compliance with security standards, methods, and project schedules ensuring that appropriate resources are available to complete the project.

  • Directs the implementation, and evaluation of test plans and the administration of testing for quality assurance of new systems functionally (e.g., hardware and software).

  • Monitors the status of all ongoing projects and provides guidance and direction to resolve any technical issues, problems, or conflicts.

  • Negotiates contracts for IT services with vendors and/or consultants and contractors

  • Develops the IT budget in coordination with business unit partners, and finance department

  • Directs IT operations to adhere to overall business mission, vision, goals, and objectives.

  • Proficient in communicating and presenting at all levels across the business including Executive, and preparation of materials utilizing MS Office/PowerPoint/Excel/Word and Visio.

  • Must have experience supporting/managing onprem and cloud-based systems/infrastructure [e.g. AZURE, remote technologies, cybersecurity, malware, firewalls, disaster recovery (DR)/pandemic, vulnerability management testing, MS Windows, Linux, web technologies, MS Office, and ticketing systems.

  • Interact, confer, and maintain working relationships with department heads to gain an understanding of their information technology needs and objectives. Determine current and projected PCC needs for information hardware and software.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Minimum a bachelor's degree in computer science/Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or Science equivalent.

  • 12+ years experience in systems management, information technology, or related fields with at least 5 years as a IT Director managing an information technology operational department including staff.

  • 5+ years of work experience with general business operations systems including financial and accounting systems.

  • Job related certifications (MCSE/MCSA, CCNA, Network+, A+) required

  • Proven track record of expertise in network security architecture, network infrastructure, operating systems, and Internet structure and development.

  • Excellent analytical, technical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with product lines preferred

  • Job related certification (ITIL, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, MCASA) are a plus
