The Memphis Grizzlies are seeking a creative and qualified individual to support and create digital content for Grind City Media, the Media, Entertainment and Content arm of the team. The Producer will create content that engages and excites consumers, through digital, broadcast, and social channels for Grind City Media by growing their voice and amplifying others within the organization to attract new consumers through sports, entertainment, social and pop culture commentary.

In This Role You Will

  • Produced, run show audio board / levels, and serve as occasional co-host for a new Grind City; Media’s daily morning show; Monday through Friday – along with packaging show for podcast and other digital distribution;

  • Assist the morning show team in programming efforts by selecting and researching topics, features and more including but not limited to Grizzlies, sports and other pertinent topics;

  • Assist the morning show team in developing formats, recruiting guests and producing taped segments for the aforementioned programming, including conducting interviews and providing voice over(s) as required;

  • Act as both front of house and back of house for producer for Grind City Media and Grizzlies shows, podcasts and other features as assigned;

  • Work with the Grizzlies’ Marketing Partnerships department to achieve maximum sponsorship, advertising, ticket sales, and other revenues as needed for all appropriate Grind City Media ventures and initiatives, including the new morning daily show;

  • Participate in media, marketing and public relations efforts for the organization as needed, including without limitation, the Grizzlies, FedExForum, Hustle and Grizz Gaming;

  • Help amplify our messaging and the voices of Grizzlies / Grind City Media talent to enhance existing revenue opportunities and assist in the creation of a new Brand, Content Marketing, Communications and Broadcast department and revenue stream;

  • Maintain consistent communication practices across all channels and best practices established by Executive Producer Grind City Media & VP, Broadcast & Production;

  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast, Communications, Journalism, Photography or related and appropriate majors or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience covering, creating, and producing over-the-air radio shows, podcasts and digital content, Including technical knowledge as a live audio board operator/producer with multiple sources.

  • Knowledge of creation of Mix Minus and IFB signals for live remote using Auxiliary and Matrix outputs.

  • Should possess an extensive list of contacts, sources and experts in and around sports, including but not limited to the NBA.

  • Should be versatile enough to provide intelligent, knowledgeable analysis for all Grizzlies channels.

  • Ability to articulate in a fast-paced, live audio & video setting and produce multiple shows, podcasts and features daily.

  • Must possess superior written and verbal skills, editorial judgment and knowledge of digital culture.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards in all work.

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

  • Must be willing and able to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings (including early mornings, nights and weekends as required).

  • Fluency in NBA Basketball and fan culture essential.

Nice to Have:

  • Operational knowledge with Yamaha CMX or Behringer professional audio console.

  • Experience with Adobe Audition.
