The Memphis Grizzlies are seeking a Marketing Technology Fellow who will be tasked with assisting the team with delivery and execution of innovative digital experiences for our family of brands. This one-year, paid, MarTech Fellowship is designed to provide practical work experience in a professional environment to recent graduates, and plays a critical part in the updating an duploading of gameday content. The ideal Fellow candidate will be skilled in front-end web development languages, have experience working with one or more CMS systems, and passionate about sports. This position will work closely with all departments within the organization to deliver engaging front-end and backend experiences for the Memphis Grizzlies and its affiliated brands, including but not limited to Marketing, Sales, Community, Communications, Partnerships, Live Entertainment, and Promotions to execute technology related projects, programs and initiatives.
The MarTech Fellowship is perfectly suited for the ambitious entry-level Developer interested in building a career in sports and technology with the Memphis Grizzlies organization.
In This Role You Will
Write clean, well-designed and responsive code;
Assist with reducing coding footprint by designing reusable modular blocks;
Upload new content such as special features, event updates, photo galleries, press releases, videos, and audio to websites, mobile apps and other digital platforms as needed;
Work assigned gamedays which require the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed;
Perform on-going quality assurance audits to ensure that all pages on the organization’s websites are up to date, mobile responsive and fan-friendly;
Conduct user research to improve user experience on websites and mobile applications;
Stay current on new web/mobile technologies and trends that can be applied to enhance user experience;
Use Google analytics to measure campaign performance;
Work with various third-party technologies to deliver an innovative digital experiences;
Test all content on various platforms for Website, Mobile Apps, and Podcasts as needed;
Other duties as required.
The Experience You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Next.js, React.
Hands-on experience working with content management systems - Drupal and WordPress.
Experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud - Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
Ability to quickly assimilate new information and learn new skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Must be focused, extremely detail-oriented and highly organized.
Team player with a strong customer service focus.
Passion for Sports and Technology.
Nice to Have:
Experience with UX/UI tools such as AdobeXD and Sketch is a plus.
Knowledge and passion of NBA Basketball.
