The Purpose:
To manage various building projects at Manchester United Training Complexes including planning, coordination, implementation of projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. To also effectively monitor quality and progress to present project updates to relevant key stakeholders, ensuring that all projects are delivered within all Health & Safety guidelines and best practice.
The Role:
- To develop customer & project solutions from inception, tender, implementation, and handover while representing the Club at all stages of the process.
- Deal with all contractor & supplier enquiries, selection of subcontractors & suppliers.
- Implement detailed programmes and schedules which allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress and executing actions to achieve targeted performance.
- Plan and implement site requirements & ensure the efficient & effective management of site logistics, communicating requirements to the team & putting measures in place to ensure successful projects through to handover.
- Ensure all building user data is provided upon completion (including โas builtโ records & maintenance manuals).
- Provide cost control reporting and budget monitoring in conjunction with project Quantity Surveyor.
- Preparation of progress reports & presentation at stakeholder meetings.
- Engagement with individual stakeholders to fully understand project requirements.
The Person:
- An in-depth knowledge of the construction process including both new build & fit-out/ refurbishment.
- Good understanding of the full Project Lifecycle with experience of improving and developing existing project management systems.
- Preparation of pricing documents & formatting of documents into the standard layout.
- Proven ability to resource projects and prioritise build processes.
- Good knowledge & understanding of Word & Excel packages.
- Ability to undertake site surveys to analyse any potential risks and highlight as appropriate.
- Construction Project Management degree or similar construction related qualification/relevant industry experience.
- A substantial level of experience in a surveying/project management role with a reputable contractor or organisation.
- Extensive technical delivery experience in a similar role gained within a consultancy, contracting, or end user client.
- Qualifications (or equivalent experience) in other construction disciplines e.g. Quantity Surveying/M&E
- Team player with a โcan doโ attitude.
- Committed to delivering customer service excellence.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills both written & verbal.
- Working knowledge of various forms of building contracts.
- Well-developed knowledge of Health & Safety, legislation, and practice.
