The Purpose:
Responsible for the day-to-day project management, decision making and orchestrating a range of digital projects (including web & mobile) – with multilingual and international scope.
The Role:
Managing all project-related duties such as scheduling milestones, managing scope creep and reporting to stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time and budget.
Scoping and planning projects: creating scope of work documents, functional specs, project plans, communication plans etc.
Working closely with the product design and development teams to ensure user stories are clearly communicated and actioned.
Creation and management of operational process and transition to ‘Business as Usual’ operations teams.
Managing both internal MU teams and technical partners to maximise the efficiency of the project.
Contributing to project management standards and looking for opportunities to continually improve. Act as a mentor in aspects of the profession such as leadership, methodology, tools, people skills and navigating politics.
Experience:
Background in digital project management, delivering projects & products using Agile project management methodologies.
5-10 years of experience in managing complex medium to large web and/or mobile development projects.
Experience of leading cross-functional teams comprising of Digital and non-Digital functions; experience working with offshore development teams.
Technical competence and wide understanding of mobile, web, video streaming and cloud technologies; AWS or Azure experience preferred.
Experience of managing a Single Sign-On (SSO) digital transformation project would be beneficial.
Good understanding of project financial management.
Outstanding attention to detail, methodical and with excellent time management skills.
Excellent organisational and planning skills to ensure project specifications are detailed and precise.
Able to manage several projects and vendors/partners concurrently; must be able to manage multiple workflows simultaneously and work with multiple parties to deliver creative solutions, as well as work under tight deadlines.
Have knowledge of structured project management techniques - PRINCE 2 or Agile certification preferred, experience of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
