The Sr. Social Campaign Manager, Culture Marketing is a member of the Social Campaign Management team, and is primarily responsible for executing the social media strategy designed to drive baseball lifestyle and culture off the field, through fashion, music, art, food, and gaming. This role requires the flexibility to be available nights and weekends throughout the year.

Education and Experience

  • 4 year degree from an accredited university in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or related field and 4+ years experience in marketing or related functional area; OR equivalent relevant experience

  • Demonstrated experience as a skilled strategist who is well-established as an expert across core and emerging social platforms

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of fashion trends, popular music, and cultural icons

  • Strong analytical skills to understand the social narrative around MLB and leverage that knowledge to inform marketing recommendations

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, anticipate, and capitalize on social trends

  • Robust communication skills, written and oral, that compel action

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Results driven marketing perspective with the ability to turn raw data into actionable goals

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Drives baseball lifestyle and culture globally by developing MLB’s social campaign strategy off the field including fashion, music, art, food, and gaming

  • Ensures day-to-day cultural marketing social strategy fits MLB’s overall marketing message and platform goals

  • Liaises with social team at all 30 MLB clubs to concept, build, and execute strategic culture social campaigns

  • Collaborates with Player Marketing to create social activation storytelling opportunities around baseball player lifestyle

  • Engages influencers and culture outlets to document the intersection of baseball and culture

  • Collaborates with editorial and content teams to develop unique cultural storylines

  • Works with analytics and social listening teams to analyze campaign performance and implement learnings from previous campaigns into future planning

  • Ensures MLB continues to be a best in class brand on social media, maintaining consistent follower and engagement growth
