In support of Major League Baseball’s vision for the new player development system, MLB is currently seeking a Senior Coordinator of Club Marketing focused exclusively on Minor League Baseball (MiLB). The Senior Coordinator, Club Marketing will play an instrumental role assisting in the execution of MiLB’s national marketing objectives while working closely with in-house personnel, Club marketing contacts, and relevant marketing partners.

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with Senior Director, Marketing (Minor League Baseball) in the day-to-day execution of all MiLB’s national marketing campaigns, fan engagement initiatives, and strategic partnership activations in MiLB markets.

  • Maintain a base knowledge of marketplace research to understand strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for MiLB and its 120 member Clubs.

  • Study industry trends to help in identifying and sharing best practices amongst MiLB Clubs

  • Coordinate distribution of marketing assets, presentations, toolkits, and support materials for Club, sponsor, or media partners.

  • Identify marketing partnership extensions and opportunities for MiLB Clubs; in addition to negotiating with and onboarding new technology partners for MiLB Clubs to leverage from both offline and digital channels

  • Collaborate with MLB Club Marketing representatives to leverage MiLB marketing channels to pilot new and exciting marketing tactics, in addition to promoting major league Club initiatives via MiLB channels (and vice versa)

  • Partner with key stakeholders across MLB Marketing team as well as others across the organization who work closely on MiLB business to provide prospective and voice of how to scale league initiatives to MiLB Clubs that align with fan growth strategies

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in a Marketing, Communications, or related business role

  • Project Management experience recommended, with ability to juggle multiple projects and manage priorities and expectations, as needed

  • Hispanic/Latino and multicultural marketing experience preferred

  • Extremely detail-oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Creative and able to think critically around problems

  • Self-starter who identifies needs and proactively develops solutions / recommendations to address them

  • Baseball and sports enthusiast is a plus

Work Environment

  • This role will be based in MLB’s NYC Headquarters

  • This role will be expected to travel occasionally

  • This role requires the flexibility to be available on nights and weekends throughout the year
