The Live Content Manager is responsible for managing a widely dispersed team of more than 50 content creators based in every MLB ballpark whose work supports MLB Marketing across the Creative Studio, Social Media Marketing & Innovation, Player Marketing, and Club Marketing.

Reporting to the Director, Live Content, the Live Content Manager will lead communications with content creators and Clubs, partner with Clubs to meet their individual business needs and objectives, manage all incoming projects and the team itself, and help develop creative project management and production systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inspire, mentor, enable, support, manage, and lead the team of content creators

  • Coordinate schedules, staffing, budget, time management, project assignments, and coverage of every MLB game, Club activities, and special events

  • Communicate with content creators, Clubs, and internal stakeholders

  • Guide team to meet the demands of the business, prioritize goals, and create cohesive working relationships company-wide

  • Nurture a collaborative culture that’s fun to work in

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Experienced leader in media, social media, or content production

  • Excellent strategic, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly and create a team atmosphere while achieving key objectives

  • Superior computer proficiency, including strong working knowledge of MS Office and Google Workspace

  • Innovative thinker with the ability to anticipate business needs

  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

  • Passionate baseball fan
