Major League Baseball (MLB) is seeking to fill a Manager, Digital Trafficking Operations position in the Marketing Department. This person will be primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day trafficking of display ad banners, implementing tracking pixels, QA of creatives, monitoring reporting and campaign launches, and supporting the digital marketing efforts of MLB/Minor League Baseball (MiLB).


  • Oversee day-to-day trafficking of digital assets (banners, HTML5, dynamic ads, web push, video, etc.)
  • Lead high-performing team of Digital Trafficking Operations Coordinators
  • Subject matter expert on Advertising Tech & Operations
  • Build pixel and tagging strategies and process
  • Implement and troubleshoot 3rd party pixels and data layer code
  • Complete test purchases to ensure tracking is accurate and appears in reporting
  • Monitor reporting to confirm campaigns launch and end at the appropriate time
  • QA creatives for accuracy regarding sizes, matchups, dates, times, players, etc.
  • Communicate with internal groups as well as external teams
  • Research new ad formats and technologies
  • Ability to adjust as role and business needs evolve

Skills & Experience

  • Advanced knowledge and clearly demonstrable experience with Google Campaign Manager (CM360) trafficking, floodlight tags, and reporting
  • Experience and understanding of Google Tag Manager (GTM) tags, triggers, and setup
  • Advanced reporting experience with Google Analytics (GA360) and GA4
  • Experience with JIRA, Wrike, Adobe Workfront, or any project management platform
  • Understanding of Brand Safety (Double Verify) and verification reporting
  • Knowledge and experience of VAST, HTML5, and dynamic ads
  • Technical skills for debugging issues with tags, pixels, and data on different platforms
  • Excel + PowerPoint (Google Docs/Sheets)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team player willing to QA and collaborate
  • Experience with Web Push Messages a plus
  • Complete test purchases with dev tools (Google Tag Assistant)

Crucial Competencies / Previous Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital ad trafficking
  • Team management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Marketing Platform
  • Experience with different types of vendor pixels (Search Ads 360, Display and Video 360, Facebook, Twitter, Google Ads, Amazon, Zeta, etc) a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible schedule: available weekends and late nights occasionally throughout the year, as needed
  • Team player with the ability to develop cordial, professional relationships with all levels of MLB staff and partners
  • Baseball and sports enthusiast is preferred
