MLB is seeking a Director, Global Social Governance & Platform Innovation, to manage the governance and innovation team to both eliminate data risk and ensure MLB is set up for success on future platforms and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee governance efforts across MLB’s social marketing footprint and manage account security for all global social channels, including international and clubs

  • Define, manage, scale, and monitor global adoption of relevant social media policies, standards, and best practices

  • Drive beneficial relationships with platform partners ensuring MLB is at the forefront of tech enablement and front of line for alpha and beta partnerships

  • Lead staff trainings on new innovative social best practices, develop weekly newsletter for both MLB and 30 Clubs

  • Manage discovery of innovative initiatives, and collaborate with Strategy team on industry best practices

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of non-internship relevant experience as a skilled strategist who is well established as an expert across core and emerging social platforms

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of equivalent work experience

  • Well versed in industry trends, such as Gaming (video games & betting), Metaverse, NFTs, and AR tech

  • The capability to see around corners, understand social trends, and capitalize on those trends is crucial to success

  • Robust communication skills (both written and presentation) that compel action

  • Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to holistic marketing measurement and project management

  • Results-driven perspective on marketing, with the ability to turn raw data into actionable conclusions
