Responsibilities:

  • Execute on a results-driven social media strategy.

  • Develop and support curating engaging content for social media platforms.

  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content through social insight feedback.

  • Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and maintain a social media calendar.

  • Monitor and research social media channels for industry and non-industry trends/best in class brands.

  • Review analytics and create topical reports on key metrics/events/trends/news/@MLBLife.

  • Assist in the development and management of social media marketing and influencer marketing strategy.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Passion for baseball and growing the sport, with a strong proficiency in major social media platforms and social media management tools.

  • Excellent social listening and Boolean search query writing skills (crisis management/brand tracking experience a plus).

  • Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends across the digital content and social media space.

  • Strong copywriting and copy editing skills.

  • Top-notch presentation and verbal communication skills.

  • Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask in a faced paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Degree in marketing/statistics or relevant work experience.

  • 2-3 years experience with B2C social media marketing or content development.

  • Direct experience using social media management tools (Sprinklr experience necessary).

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) and G-Suite (Docs/Slides/Sheets).

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is an hourly rate of $27.00 to $31.00 The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
