The Marketing & Promotions Coordinator will support the planning and execution of pre-game and in-game entertainment including overseeing sponsored elements, first pitches, facilitating special acknowledgements, and in-game segments via Blue Crew staff. This individual will work closely with Blue Crew Lead, Stadium Operations, the In Game Entertainment Team, Marketing leadership and all other internal stakeholders’ teams to troubleshoot on site and assign game day staff. Management experience and attention to detail is essential for this role.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in all areas of special events, pre-game entertainment, project coordination and administrative functions.
Input pre-game programming asset requests into Salesforce
Create scripting on behalf of the marketing & promotions team
Place jersey interclub orders, fulfil ticket requests, and acquire media credentials.
Book and coordinate pre-game and in-game entertainment in the Centerfield Plaza
Create itineraries for pre-game guests, vendors, and entertainers
Collaborate with internal departments such as Community Relations, PR, Sponsorship, Business Development, Sales, etc. to promote Dodger Theme and Heritage Nights
Support with Dodger Blue Crew staff: onboarding and training new hires, ordering uniforms, creating assignment sheets, managing hours, Character drycleaning, etc.
Coordinate staffing for off-site community and sponsorship events
Create a sports programming schedule for all premium spaces around the stadium
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree OR one to three years related experience and/or training, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous work experience in customer service, sales, marketing, PR or related field preferred
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a positive, energetic personality and ability to provide quick and professional responses
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment
Strong trouble shooting and analytical skills
Ability to quickly solve practical problems as they interact with fans and special guests
Ability to speak and/or read in the Spanish language is a plus
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be punctual and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must adhere to departmental standards
Ability to work 75% of all home games for the 2023 Season (March – September) and postseason games (October)
Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
