The Dodger Blue Crew Lead will assist the Manager of Marketing and Promotions in supervising the Dodger Blue Crew staff on game days. Blue Crew Members serve as ambassadors to the Los Angeles Dodgers brand and support the execution of game-day stadium entertainment, concourse activations, ticket package distribution and off-site community events. In-game entertainment activations include prize giveaways, ceremonies and trivia contests performed live on the stadium’s video board. The Blue Crew Lead will help ensure that these elements are executed in an organized and timely manner.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Represent the Los Angeles Dodgers brand in an upbeat and professional manner
The Blue Crew Lead will set a positive example for members of the Dodger Blue Crew.
Track inventory and orders for waivers, pitch balls, promo items, and Blue Crew supplies
Organize necessary props, prizes, and waivers for on-camera activations
Assist with the arrival and escorting of pre-game guests
Oversee the selection of on-camera contestants in game camera hits
Set-up and facilitate performances, interactive games, photo ops and other activations throughout the ballpark
Promote various Dodger initiatives both in-stadium and at outside community events
The Blue Crew Lead will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Promotions team on activations in the Centerfield Plaza and troubleshooting event logistics
Oversee crowd management and guest interaction for assigned activations
Help supervise the distribution of ticket package giveaway items as needed
Organize character dry cleaning orders and keep employee storage areas tidy
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree OR one to three years related experience and/or training, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous work experience in customer service, sales, marketing, PR or related field preferred
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a positive, energetic personality and ability to provide quick and professional responses
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment
Strong trouble shooting and analytical skills
Ability to quickly solve practical problems as they interact with fans and special guests
Ability to speak and/or read in the Spanish language is a plus
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Must be punctual and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must adhere to departmental standards
Ability to work 100% of all home games for the 2023 Season (March – September) and postseason games (October)
