The role will require the successful candidate to support the Partnership team’s overall partnership and renewals sales process, manage the team of Partnership Executives to ensure we deliver a “best in class” service to existing club partners, and support and contribute to developing and implementing the strategic objectives of the Partnerships team in accordance with set KPIs for the team and the wider business.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable leadership/management skills and experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans aligned to the wider business, and be able to support the Head of Partnerships with the renewals sales process in order to achieve sales targets for the group, whilst overseeing both partner servicing operations and the relationship management process for existing Club partners.
Key duties of this role include;
To develop and present market insights, trends and analysis within the sports partnerships industry to the Head of Partnerships
To regularly track, monitor and support the team in achieving applicable revenue budgets and targets
To manage the departments sponsorship presentation tools (Digideck)
To support the Head of Partnerships in developing proposals and presentations for prospective new partners and to support the negotiation process as part of any prospective new deals
For specific designated targets, to lead the process in developing proposals and presentations for prospective new partners and any subsequent commercial negotiations
To oversee the successful delivery of all contractual deliverables/activations of Club partners, within specified timelines, in collaboration with other departments within the wider business
To manage the partnership inventory software (Kore) and provide regular weekly reports to the Head of Partnerships
To provide regular reports to the Head of Partnerships in respect of partner servicing operations
To maintain strong day-to-day pro-active communication and collaboration with the Club’s existing partners
Essential Requirements
Proven track record in partnership sales within the sports industry
Proven track record and good knowledge of partner servicing activation
Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing a team
Proven leadership experience, co-operates with others, considers the needs of others and helps others to achieve objectives
Demonstrates honesty, integrity, reliability and the ability to ensure confidentiality at all times
Well organised with the ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
Possess strong time management skills and have a flexible approach to work
Excellent client service skills with the ability to meet stringent deadlines
Outgoing, confident and pro-active with a flexible approach to working hours
Ability to work on own initiative, pro-active in managing one’s own time, building an understanding of the internal and external environment in order to deliver work in a highly effective and professional manner
Able to communicate to the highest level; listens, interprets and conveys information in a clear and accurate manner; provides timely delivery of information and selects the most appropriate method of communication
Educated to degree level or equivalent
