Leicester City in the Community (LCitC) has a fantastic opportunity for an Engagement Coach to join our dynamic team on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery sessions within the Loughborough and Hinckley area.

About The Role

The successful candidate will deliver a programme of diversionary activities & educational workshops as well delivering mentoring and sports coaching activities to young people and vulnerable adults. This role is essential to the successful delivery of our Premier League Kicks and LCitC programmes.

The successful candidate will work closely with their line manager to improve session participation and quality of experience to participants.

Who We’re Looking For

Essential requirements:

  • Hold relevant professional FA qualifications in coaching and physical activity delivery.

  • Experience of engaging with young people regularly in a community setting for at least two years.

  • Experience of delivering activity sessions to engage young people using sport in a community setting.

  • A high-level understanding of inequalities that exist across socio economic groups in supporting active lives, how they intersect and experience of working to reduce these.

  • Ability to encourage, motivate and enthuse individuals to participate.

  • Strong commitment to high quality delivery.

Contract Type – Part time, 12-month, fixed term contract.

Hours Per Week – Community Engagement Coach (County) – 8-12 hours

You will be required to work outside of normal office hours, at evenings and weekends.

Location – LCitC is based at King Power Stadium, Leicester. The delivery of sessions with take place at partner schools/Local Community centres etc and some aspects of the role will require homeworking, therefore you will need the ability to travel across multiple sites across Leicester and Charnwood.
