The Media Relations/Community Relations Manager assists the Director of Media Relations in the publicizing of the Las Vegas Aces’ on and off-court activities.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Creation of game notes prior to each game
Writing, distribution and posting of postgame stories
Writing, distribution and posting of preview stories
Entering statistical data into excel sheets
Writing, distribution and posting of press releases
Maintaining credential database and distribute credentials
Distributing information packets to visiting teams and national broadcasters
Set up and oversite of press room/press row
Updating of team website
Facilitating interviews with media
Attending media interviews, community events and other Aces' team events
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years of work experience, or its equivalent, in athletics media relations/community relations at the collegiate or professional level
College degree in an applicable field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, In Design, Photoshop
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
Possess attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, and establish and maintain an effective professional working relationship with employees
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Evening and weekend work hours
Some travel required
