Candidate must have good people skills and be able to communicate clearly. Candidate must be able to coordinate several operations, while doing these safely and efficiently. Candidate must be able to build and continue relationships with staff and clients to ensure a safe and clean environment for fans and guests. This role coordinates all conversion and changeover aspects of GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, The University of Kansas Health System Training Complex, and the Truman Sports Complex, as well as all set ups, tear downs, and housekeeping pertaining to internal/external events, and logistics of the Corporate Event Staff.

  • Utilizes the work order system, called ISS 24/7, and the communicator devices to strategically assign work and monitor progress.

  • Assist Conversion and Cleaning Supervisor with scheduling, inputting work orders, and daily communication with the Corporate Event Staff.

  • Key responsibilities include assisting the Conversion and Cleaning Supervisor with ensuring events are set up accurately, all needs of the Event Management team are met, and cleanliness of the event space meets our standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Light office duties and activities.

  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

  • Long periods of standing and walking required.

  • Majority of time is spent walking through event spaces and monitoring progress of the Corporate Event Staff, as well and final inspections of completed set ups prior to guest arrival.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):

  • Must have a high school diploma. College degree preferred, but not necessary.

  • One year of leadership experience preferred but not necessary.

  • Must have experience working in a group environment by displaying a strong ability to lead and direct while effectively drawing on the strengths of all team members.

  • Selected candidate will meet with other department work groups on a continual basis to determine details for upcoming events and gameday/event day planning.

  • Ensure that gameday/event day and event specifications are accurately completed by performing continuous inspections before, during, and after.

  • Have a very attentive eye for detail in terms of cleanliness, room setups, etc.

  • Investigate, document, and report complaints regarding varying aspects of events including client, staff, & vendor issues.

  • May also recommend and assist in the implementation of new strategic opportunities.

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Corporate Event Staff.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Flexible hours including weekends, overnight, and holidays.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Conversion and Cleaning Supervisor and/or Stadium Services Manager.

  • Experience in the above listed duties and responsibilities are necessary to be considered for this coordinator position.
