Houston Dynamo FC is seeking candidates for the Payroll Specialist Position. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and work closely with the Human Resources department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll across five different entities
Oversee timekeeping entries and approvals for hourly employees in all locations
Ensure all payroll taxes are filed and paid timely across multiple jurisdictions
Track and process commissions, bonuses, taxable benefits, per-diem and reimbursements
Prepare and post all payroll entries to the general ledger
Manage all aspects of the W-2 generation and distribution process
Ensure compliance with payroll and employment laws, rules and regulations
Manage and/or assist with annual HR compliance requirements (including 1094/1095 C documents and 5500 Questionnaire)
Provide oversight/assist with employee benefits tracking
Responsible for administration and reporting related to 401(k) and Workers’ Comp
Process new hire paperwork and maintain employee files in a confidential manner
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 3 years with relevant payroll experience
Experience with UltiPro payroll processing software preferred
Certified Payroll Professional certification preferred

Must be proficient with MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, & Outlook.
