Houston Dynamo FC is looking for a Director of Events & Booking at PNC Stadium. This newly created position will oversee the sales and execution of all events at PNC Stadium. The main focus of this role is to drive special events revenue at PNC Stadium while overseeing the events team. This position will report to the Assistant General Manager of PNC Stadium.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the charge on the event process from lead generation, booking, event execution and settlement. This includes both full stadium ticketed events, special events and club events at PNC Stadium

  • Oversee and manage the events team which is responsible for executing events booked at the stadium

  • Create sales collateral and marketing plans for special event sales at the stadium. This includes information on stadium website, outbound marketing materials and client presentations

  • Prepare required reports including overall revenue, rate cards, P&L analysis for each event, recaps and sales forecasts.

  • Proactively solicit new business by making outbound sales calls, hosting client walkthroughs, attending relevant tradeshows and engaging in other client prospecting efforts to increase the stadium database of prospective clients

  • Manage department budgets

  • Work with stadium food and beverage partner, Levy, to create and curate menu options, packages and add-ons to increase event revenue

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of (5) years of experience in outbound sales experience, preferably at a sports or entertainment venue

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Must be able to market the venue and drive new sales

  • Strong networking skills with the ability to build and foster relationships

  • Previous experience leading a team and overseeing staff

  • Prior sports and/or entertainment industry experience preferred

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
