We are seeking an experienced and motivated Financial Controller with a strong financial background and expertise in accounting and financial management. This Financial Controller job is a pivotal role, where you will work closely with the Finance Director, heading up the finance team (6 direct reports) on a day to day basis. You will be a fully qualified accountant with broad ranging experience, including group consolidations, annual financial statements, treasury, taxation and overseeing purchase/sales ledgers and payroll operations.   • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, VAT and credit control, Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, tax laws, and other regulations.

  • Prepare financial statements, cash flow forecasts and assist with annual budgets

  • Manage all tax and treasury/cash management affairs.

  • Lead in the development, improvement and management of processes, controls and systems (tasked to create an internal controls & procedures manual)

  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, insurers and other financial/non-financial service providers

  • Fully responsible for all Statutory and non-Statutory reporting and submissions, ensuring all deadlines are met

  • Manage a finance team on a daily basis, supporting individual growth and maintaining a cohesive team, while working to tight deadlines and driving a culture of continual development, mutual support and open communication

  • Responsibility for all areas of the balance sheet and knowledge of those accounts at all time

  • Support and assist the Finance Director and other Heads of Department with ad hoc tasks

  • Lead in various finance projects including new system implementations, and improved automation

  • Providing general financial advice, information and support to line managers/employees within the company

  • Conducting Due Diligence reporting

  • Assist and provide guidance on HMRC compliance

  • Manage the accounting systems, including identifying system improvements that can help to refine financial processes, whilst also making sure that the integrity of that information is of paramount importance

  • Liaising with and assisting with reporting to Ownership

  • Manage the expenses system for the Company and prepare the expenses report to provide to payroll for reimbursement

  • Working alongside colleagues from the Jacksonville Jaguars to assist with their UK projects, budgeting, payroll, payables and receivables functions.
