To help us ensure we are reaching and maintaining these elite level standards, we are seeking a Security Architect to make sure products, applications, and technologies are developed and managed securely.

Reporting to the Information Security Manager, your role will involve acting as the primary security contact for any matters involving any of F1’s digital products and programs.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic as well as self-motivated and hard-working.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as one of the primary security contacts across F1’s digital products and technologies. Owning security design/review activities across products & applications, including – Websites, mobile apps, OTT platforms, data warehouses, CRM.
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand and review architecture to identify key security risks, ensuring appropriate security controls are embedded into development and engineering lifecycles.
  • Identify and support continuous security improvements across wider IT infrastructure covering both technical controls and policy/process improvements.
  • Be hands-on with Formula 1’s security tools; assisting with rollout, implementation, consolidation and continual improvement of toolsets for increased visibility of security events.
  • Working closely with the F1 Info Sec & IT teams to improve day-to-day security operations and increase security awareness across the company.
  • Support the information security compliance lead on risk management, technical policies & standards, control assessments and audits.
  • Lead on producing a consistent framework for threat modelling and assessment to feed into new project initiatives, allowing better visibility into security risks across the business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with primary suppliers/partners to influence key security decisions relating to F1 products, applications, assets. Ensuring baseline security requirements and understood and met.
  • Key involvement in security incident investigations and escalations, supporting incident response and BC/DR testing activities.

About You

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant fields
  • Security certifications (CISM, CISSP, SANS, CEH, CREST)
  • Experience of security architecture design, implementation, requirements
  • Core IT technologies within an enterprise environment (infrastructure, networking)
  • Hands on experience and management of security toolsets
  • Incident Response, Business continuity/Disaster Recovery planning and testing.
  • Secure development practices and core frameworks (OWASP, etc.)
  • Forward-thinking; ability to predict future organisational needs and challenges
  • Creative and technical minded to approach

Desirable:

  • Security architecture focused training & qualifications
  • GRC/Compliance frameworks e.g., ISO 27001 implementation/auditor
  • Coding/development experience

You must also have a willingness to support F1 events/schedules across different time zones.
