FC Dallas is seeking a creative, highly motivated Photographer with a passion for sports and entertainment. The Photographer will be a member of the Marketing department and contribute to a variety of department and organization initiatives through photography and design. They are responsible for shooting, editing, and archiving company imagery that will be used for FC Dallas, North Texas SC, Toyota Stadium, and National Soccer Hall of Fame distribution. An online portfolio must be provided to be considered for this position.

What You’ll Do:

  • Capture high-quality, impactful, brand aligned imagery for any company initiatives in a variety of settings such as studio, game action, concerts, or events.

  • Assist with photography needs across multiple properties, including, but not limited to:

    • FC Dallas and North Texas SC home and away games, in-season and off-season practices, team media day, community or partner events, and other club initiatives

    • Toyota Stadium concerts, football bowl games, and other events

    • Toyota Soccer Center and MoneyGram Soccer Park tournaments, camps, training, and other events

    • National Soccer Hall of Fame events, displays, tours, announcements, Induction Weekend, and other initiatives

  • Collaborate with Marketing and other departments, as well as contractors or interns, to schedule and execute shoots and/or game and event coverage.

  • Operate appropriate photographic equipment to capture game action, events, and subjects.

  • Utilize photo editing software and applications to manipulate, edit, crop, retouch, color correct, and enhance photographs according to direction and brand guidelines.

  • Utilize and update a cloud-based photo database (Photoshelter).

  • Assist with maintaining equipment inventory and assist with repairs when necessary.

  • Assist with rental of supplemental equipment needed for shoots on and off-site.

You Are:

  • A passionate, detail-oriented, and hard-working photographer with a strong understanding of visual composition, design aesthetic, and digital practices.

  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively, to manage a variety of projects with internal and external clients.

  • Willing to take initiative and maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment, including media work zones.

  • Deadline-driven and can work under pressure while juggling multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Required to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays based on event schedule on-site or around the Metroplex.


  • Bachelor’s degree in photography, photojournalism or related field required.

  • 1-3 years of experience with action, sports, and/or event photography.

  • Demonstrated photography techniques and photo editing experience with an online portfolio.

  • Proficient with equipment and technology, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and software (Photoshop, Lightroom, and Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.

  • Must possess a robust understanding of graphic design, and digital and social media practices.

  • Proficient with camera positioning and operation as well as lighting setups in a variety of settings, including studio, outdoor, action, events, and more.

  • Strong understanding of production techniques including separation, layering, color correction, and creative editing.

  • Experience with metadata and asset management.

  • Drone experience a plus.

  • Capacity to lift 50lbs, work in inclement weather, and varying temperatures.

  • Reliable transportation.
