The Florida Panthers are a community focused organization lead by an authentic management team that served our country and now serves the South Florida community. The organization is on the rise and is experiencing success both on and off the ice. Led by General Manager Bill Zito, the Panthers had their best season in franchise history. Off the ice, the business team is seeing growth across all key metrics including ratings, social engagement and a busy 2022-23 concert schedule. Meanwhile the organization is expanding outside of FLA Live Arena and is currently renovating property in Downtown Fort Lauderdale to build a new practice facility and concert venue.

JOB SUMMARY

The Corporate Partnership Intern will work closely with the Corporate Partnership Team on all aspects of the partnership process including, but not limited to: Research on prospective/current partners, analysis of industry news and trends, creation of partnership proposals/recaps, weekly departmental reporting, use of CRM for reporting & research purposes, and various special projects for the Department Vice President to support overall team success. In addition, this role will focus on educational training and gaining practical experience in the field of corporate partnerships across both business development and activation that will lead to potential full-time opportunities with the Panthers or other sports organizations.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergrad degree in Business, Analytics, Advertising or other relevant major; Master’s Degree completed or in progress is preferred but not required. School credit not required

  • Perform brand dives and research on prospects/current partners to support the Partnership Department

  • Research industry trends and news via a variety of sources and report findings to the development team

  • Understand prospect/partner objectives and goals to develop and research promotional platforms and strategies

  • Support the team by creating decks/recaps, writing copy, & proofreading proposals prior to pitches

  • Analyze data & analytic tools such as Nielsen Repucom, Scarborough, Zoomph, etc. to support sales/activation and prospecting initiatives

  • Utilize CRM and Excel for report building related to overall department inventory, revenue reporting & projections, and other various projects

  • Assist in planning and organizing prospect events & meetings

  • Work on special projects for department Vice President

EXPECTATIONS

  • Position requires regular office hours Monday through Friday, not to exceed 40 hours a week.

  • Game and event hours are not required, only voluntary

  • Complete projects in a timely matter or prior to given deadlines

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced professional environment

  • Schedule and properly prepare for bi-weekly learning sessions with their direct supervisor

  • Participate in department community initiatives throughout the year

  • Proficient Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Bilingual Preferred but not required

Work Environment:

This position works in an arena where the noise level is generally high, crowd traffic is heavy, temperatures are variable – often cold; lights are bright or dark with occasional exposure to flashing lights and pyrotechnics.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a Full-Time position. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and occasional holidays.
