We are now looking for a Workforce Planning Manager that is part of FIFA and supports us on our mission.

These are your key tasks:

  • Lead Workforce Planning for specific FIFA Tournaments and Special Events for FIFA Staff working in collaboration with Workforce Team in Local FIFA Subsidiaries and the Tournaments and Special Events Project Teams to ensure an integrated approach

  • Support the dedicated project team in the set up of the Local FIFA Subsidiaries providing support and guidance on Workforce planning requirements, recruitment of key personnel and workforce employee regulations in line with FIFA standards

  • Provide leadership and functional support to the Local FIFA Subsidiaries

  • Work with specific Project Teams and Functional areas to plan workforce requirements managing the entire process from initial planning to change control and final approvals

  • Set-up and management of IFES (event management platform) for workforce

  • Manage contracting of all external workforce members on behalf of respective project leads

  • Assign service-levels for event-time service and other needs, such as accommodation, mobiles phones, travel & transport requirements, etc. for all the FIFA different workforce-member groups

  • Develop and manage an integrated workforce management process and deliver a consistent workforce planning across projects and delivery entities, ensuring appropriate and optimised resources to deliver the agreed service levels

  • Contribute to and deliver the Workforce Operations Role Specific and Operation Specific training and manage staff and freelancers on-boarding;

  • Responsibility for design and delivery of staff briefings for tournaments and events

  • Collaborate, support and motivate the large tournament teams who will deliver Workforce Operations on site ensuring an exceptional workforce experience;

  • Collaborate with the wider Workforce Team on a day-to-day, operational basis.

  • Responsibility for sourcing and procuring Tournament gifts and other services in line with workforce policies

  • Responsibility for managing workforce meeting space requirements for all Functional areas attending Tournaments and events and the day to day operations of these spaces on venue

  • Lead and set up all staff related events at tournaments such as welcome event and final party

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

  • HR and/or Workforce Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or similar education/certification

  • Minimum seven years of experience in event planning and - management (e.g. sports and entertainment events, corporate events, incentives programmes, etc.)

  • Experience in workforce management at major sporting events (e.g. FIFA World Cup, Olympic Games, etc.) is desirable

  • Experience in the delivery of large scale sporting events, preferably across continents or regions

  • Highly proficient with MS Project, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Fluent English, any additional language is an advantage

  • Able to operate and communicate with senior stakeholders

  • Willingness/capability to learn

  • Excellent administrational and organisational skills

  • Travel potentially required during tournaments and events
