We are now looking for a Senior Workforce Planning Manager that is part of FIFA and supports us on our mission.

These are your key tasks:

  • Setup FIFA World Cups™ local legal entities HR Departments and support the development of all HR recruitment, engagement, management, retention, and career pipeline programs for the subsidiaries
  • As a global HR Business Partner to FIFA World Cups™ subsidiaries, lead worldwide workforce planning, organizational design, and establishment of local legal entities
  • Oversee contracting and allocation of local offices within the respective host countries in close co-operation with the Accommodation, Venue Management and IT
  • Build, sustain, and clarify worldwide and country-specific people processes, policies, and procedures. Create a consistent business practice and consider local needs
  • Lead Workforce Planning for FIFA World Cups™ and special events for FIFA Staff and the overall Total Workforce approach
  • Collaborate with the Finance and Legal departments to set up a scalable approach for new country entity set-ups, corporate functions, and processes (event and non-event-time)
  • Develop, implement and be the main responsible for the 'flexible workforce' strategy, this includes the development of the concept and implementation (including capture of demand) including implementation of a global platform
  • Manage the strategic overview of total Workforce across all the FIFA Tournaments and events and agree on the Workforce budget and calendar
  • Ensure that all planned roles are filled with qualified workforce members out of the available pool of staff, freelancers, member association staff, volunteers, etc.
  • Manage contracting of all external workforce members on behalf of respective project leads
  • Assign service-levels for event-time service and other needs, such as accommodation, mobiles phones, travel & transport requirements, etc. for all the FIFA different workforce-member groups

The specific competencies we require for this position are:

  • HR and/or Workforce Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or similar education/certification
  • Minimum seven years of experience in event planning and - management (e.g. sports and entertainment events, corporate events, incentives programmes, etc.)
  • Experience in workforce management at major sporting events (e.g. FIFA World Cup, Olympic Games, etc.) is desirable
  • Experience in the delivery of large scale sporting events, preferably across continents or regions
  • Highly proficient with MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Fluent English, any additional languages is an advantage
  • Able to operate and communicate with senior stakeholders
  • Willingness/capability to learn
  • Excellent administrational and organisational skills
  • Travel potentially required during tournaments and events
