Responsible for collaborating with a team of colleagues to schedule event-based security staff for all games, concerts and events at Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park, Fox Theatre, Pine Knob Music Theater, Meadow Brook Amphitheater and Michigan Lottery Amphitheater at Freedom Hill through the use of web-based scheduling software (Aware Manager). In addition to scheduling staff for games, concerts and events, will also schedule staff for private events occurring at all venues, 24/7 venue security shifts, and special security details that may arise last minute.
Also responsible for working with Security Event Managers and Event Coordinators to determine event call times, early staffing positions and load-in/load-out staffing. Gathers event-based crowd manager availability on a monthly basis and communicates with crowd managers regarding the events that they are scheduled to work. Revises event staffing based upon call offs or changes to staffing needs for a particular event.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinates with Event Security Mangers and Event Coordinators to determine event staffing needs, call times, load-in/load-out staffing and early shift calls.
Disseminates staffing needs for all games, concerts, and events to a large group of security crowd managers.
Retrieves staff availability based upon crowd manager responses and incorporates the responses into event staffing templates. Then determines if additional staffing is required.
Communicates to crowd managers which events they are scheduled to work.
Adjusts staffing as needed to accommodate call offs or additional staffing requirements.
Supplemental Job Functions
Distributing event related information to staff as needed.
Tracking number of hours that event staff is scheduled for a particular week.
Tracking crowd manager call-offs, no shows or disciplinary issues.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Some experience in scheduling people or events.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Exel and ability to be trained in scheduling management software.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Must have a calm and patient demeanor and handle working in sometimes stressful situations.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with company policy and periodically checked thereafter.
Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends and on short notice to schedule last minute staffing requests or special details.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree or some college.
Experience working with Aware manager software.
Works in a normal office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust and the like.
