The Strategic Marketing Director is responsible for developing the Dallas Wings and Panther City Lacrosse Club marketing strategy in detail. In collaboration with revenue-generating departments, this individual will connect creative resources to ensure business goals are met. This position is based in the Arlington/Fort Worth area.

She/He/They will work to service to the Dallas Wings & Panther City Lacrosse Club partnership clients & ensure we are delivering best-in-class activations and promotions.

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Assist COO in development of paid media strategy, working closely with the Director of Social and Digital Media to execute and analyze campaigns

  • Assist in managing agency relationships

  • Develop and drive tune-in and merchandise marketing strategy

  • Work alongside various departments to maximize grassroots marketing and youth strategy, developing processes that produce lead generation and ticket sales opportunities

  • Deliver a paid social and digital strategy (internal and/or agency), monitoring and reporting on results monthly

  • Assist the Business Intelligence Manager with research efforts, including but not limited to regular surveying of fans

  • Work with other departments to develop key theme nights and pillars, connecting revenue generating departments with community efforts, broadcast opportunities, social media & in-game opportunities

  • Work closely with ticket sales and partnerships to provide revenue-driving assets that are fit each respective brand, single game ticket promotion, theme nights and other tentpole events and marquee assets (i.e. Draft, All-Star, Schedule Release, etc.)

  • Oversee local marketing efforts, including strategic local partnerships

  • Assist other marketing department personnel on game and event days as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required

  • Relevant Work Experience:

    • Minimum of two years of experience in event management and/or leadership position, effectively executing projects across multiple departments

    • Use of creative platforms preferred, but not required

    • Experience in sports preferred, but not required
