This position is responsible for directing prep, execution and cleanup of meals at Mavs facility.

  • The chef will work within the nutrition area to provide high-quality meals in an organized, clean environment, ensuring all players and staff are taken care of each day

  • This position will assist with the management and operations of the kitchen and the kitchen staff

  • Executing opening and closing checklists for daily service

  • Quality control of food service production

  • Maintaining clean and organized food storage and prep areas

  • Directing and executing food service for breakfast, lunch and dinner in coordination with the Dietitian

  • Following dietary guidelines set forth by Team Dietitian to maximize player care

  • Record and keep track of all expenditures related to meals outside of facilities

  • Clean up and leave player's kitchen clean once meals are over

  • Receiving and putting away food orders

  • Collaborating with Dietitian on menu development

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, basketball operations staff and players


  • Minimum 5 years of proven cooking experience as a sous chef or line cook

  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures

Familiar with industry best practices in the safe handling of food
