Work alone, or with other crewmembers, on all facets of general maintenance. Provide facility and event support through a variety of scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and service activities. Required to work game day schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for completion of general maintenance work orders in assigned areas.

  • Maintain seats, benches, cup holders, restroom fixtures and dispensers.

  • Homestand preparations include placing and retrieving flags, tents, banners, walk-thru covers, traffic signs & meter bags.

  • Move and Relocate barricades on game and event days on sidewalks and streets.

  • Open and close overhead doors and windows prior to and after every game.

  • Occasional duties include delivery of programs, setting folding chairs and misc. deliveries.

  • Furniture set-up for parties or events held at Coors Field or McGregor Square.

  • Assist in staging of promotional items before games.

  • Off season duties include repair and renumber all seats, overhaul all turnstiles, restock inventories, perform general maintenance on all hardware used during the season

  • Interact with the public, co-workers and celebrity athletes in a professional manner.

  • Repairs worn or damaged parts on machines, desks, doors and various types of equipment

  • Maintains District vehicle, tools, equipment and stock of supplies

  • Assist in other work areas in the department as directed by the Assistant Director of Engineering.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours and/or shifts which may vary.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work is assigned by means of verbal or written orders and is carried out by the position in accordance with standard practices of the building trade. Work is subject to inspection while in progress and upon completion.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours due to the type of organization that employs this position.

  • Position has game day duties which include nights and weekend work

  • Assists in other work areas in the department or ballpark as needed or directed by the Assistant Director of Engineering.

  • Assist on Projects at McGregor Square as needed or directed by Supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) years of general maintenance experience.

  • Carpentry skills (Desirable)

  • 18 years of age

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Driver’s license in good standing

  • Ability to drive full-size manual pickup

  • Must be able to work flexible hours and/or shifts which may vary.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills (Desirable)

  • Basic hand and power tool skills including proper use and care (Desirable)

  • Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance.

  • Professional image and demeanor.

  • Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment

WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Work scope requires bending, stooping, carrying, climbing, ladders and stairs

  • Off Season – Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 4:30 pm

  • During Baseball Season – Hours will fluctuate with game schedule, nights, weekends required

  • 1500 hours per year. Required to work 4 hours before the game, through the game and one hour after the end of the game.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours due to the type of organization that employs this position.

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds routinely.

  • Be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices), carry and climb ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces, balance, stoop, kneel.

  • Regular exposure to all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat.

  • Hours may vary due to project requirements such as special game day duties, special event schedules, season preparation, etc.

  • Advance notice will be given for schedule changes whenever possible.

SALARY RANGE:

  • $17.29 per hour.

  • This is a part-time position not eligible for company benefits.
