Assistant coach for Rapids II and primary contact with Academy for player identification and movement. Provide expert level coaching for Rapids II and Academy players that are introduced to the professional environment.
Examples of work performed:
Assist with the planning and communication of weekly schedule
Assist with and conduct team training sessions under the direction of Rapids II Head Coach
Lead coach in absence of Head Coach
Assist Head Coach and support staff with matchday and travel preparation
Collaborate with Video Analyst to prepare and present opponent scouting as directed by the Head Coach
Provide individual and team performance feedback to Rapids II players.
Create and deliver IDP sessions to Rapids II players (on-field, in classroom, video, etc.)
Player relations/communications (Ex. top prospects, foreign players, low-minute players, etc.)
Coach secondary roster in non-MLSNext Pro competition as required
Serves as liaison to Academy regarding player movement
Serves as liaison to Academy staff regarding the evaluation of prospects
Thorough knowledge of all high potential players (HPP) in academy and general knowledge of U15 and U17 academy teams, including observation and on-field training
Attend all required public appearances
Attend club meetings (all-staff, staff, technical, coaching education, etc.)
Travel as required
Assist Rapids II General Manager and Rapids II Head Coach with other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required
US Soccer “A” License or equivalent combination of coaching and playing experience.
Preferred
Professional playing experience preferred.
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
USSF “B” License or equivalent combination of experience and certification
Demonstrated ability to teach techniques, tactics, physical and psychological components of soccer.
Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate and educate developing players
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to utilize video editing and presentation software (currently Hudl Sportscode)
Knowledge regarding player development.
Knowledge of MLS Homegrown Player requirements.
Ability to create spreadsheets and routine business correspondence using Word and Excel software.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task effectively.
Compensation
Base Salary Range $75,000 per annum
