PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide a safe and secure facility at Progressive Field ballpark and the administration building.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Perform regularly scheduled security checks and rounds of the facility and grounds during all hours of the day as directed
Report and document any incidents, accidents, alarms, maintenance discrepancies, intrusions or any other occurrence that should be brought to the attention of management.
Maintain logs, monitor contractors, deliveries, and interact responsibly with diverse entities performing business at Progressive Field.
Oversee and monitor the surveillance system, screen vehicles, security screening of personnel, and operate security equipment as necessary.
Implement emergency response procedures in accordance with company security policy and procedures.
Interface with Cleveland Police, Gateway personnel, Game Day Security & Maintenance, and all other Progressive Field associates as necessary.
Ability and willingness to work a number of different posts with ranging responsibilities.
Ability and willingness to learn, adapt, and take direction.
Monitor and direct traffic and parking in our underground service area.
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Must be 18 years of age
Microsoft Word and Excel plus the ability to learn, understand and use our computerized surveillance system, incident reporting program, entry control system, and any other technologies Progressive Field possesses or installs.
Must be able to work 24 hours a week at a minimum.
No felony criminal record.
Must possess valid driver’s license.
Must possess the ability to operate security-monitoring equipment, fire alarm equipment and comprehend written security protocols.
Must be in good physical and mental condition and able to perform extensive foot patrol duties during all weather conditions.
Must be able to handle stressful situations and emergency situations.
Reads, speaks, comprehends, and communicates English effectively in all communications.
Represents the Cleveland Guardians in a positive fashion to all business partners and the general public.
Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with members of the Front Office.
Ability to act according to the organizational values and service excellence at all times.
Ability to work with diverse populations and have a demonstrated commitment to social justice.
Ability to walk, sit or stand for an entire shift.
Ability to work extended days and hours, including holidays and weekends.
Ability to move throughout all areas and levels of the Ballpark.
Ability to work in a diverse and changing environment.
Occasional physical activity such as lifting and carrying boxes up to 25 lbs.
