PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide a safe and secure employee parking lot for Cleveland Guardians’ and Delaware North employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Monitor and direct traffic and parking in an orderly and efficient manner.
Escort employees to their vehicles (if requested).
Report any lighting issues or discrepancies to the on-duty 24/7 Security Shift Supervisor.
Direct traffic for safe ingress and egress.
Check for current hangtags and authorized volunteer parking list.
Maintain and report any possible safety hazards in all lots to the on-duty 24/7 Security Shift Supervisor.
Sign out/in radio for lot and flashlights for the 1st and 3rd shifts.
Report and document any incidents, accidents, maintenance discrepancies, intrusions, or any other occurrence that should be brought to the attention of management, which includes but is not limited to any damaged or stolen vehicles.
Interface with Cleveland Police, Gateway personnel, and all other Progressive Field associates as necessary.
Participation in trainings pertaining to public health and appropriate public health-related protocols.
Assistance in application and enforcement of public health-related requirements, including (but not limited to) requirements pertaining to the wearing of masks and/or social distancing.
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Must be 18 years of age
Must be able to handle stressful situations and emergency situations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years of age
Excellent interpersonal and security skills
Must possess the ability to comprehend written security protocols.
Must be in good physical and mental condition and able to perform extensive foot patrol duties during all weather conditions.
Intimate knowledge of all areas of Progressive Field and grounds.
ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Reads, speaks, comprehends, and communicates English effectively in all communications.
Represents the Cleveland Guardians in a positive fashion to all business partners and the general public.
Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with members of the Front Office.
Ability to act according to the organizational values and service excellence at all times.
Ability to work with diverse populations and have a demonstrated commitment to social justice.
Ability to walk, sit or stand for an entire shift.
Ability to work extended days and hours, including holidays and weekends.
Ability to move throughout all areas and levels of the Ballpark.
Ability to work in a diverse and changing environment.
Occasional physical activity such as lifting and carrying boxes up to 25 lbs.
