PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for project management and production management of all marketing-related creative requests, content and collateral. Help uphold the Guardians brand identity and creative vision of the marketing department and ensure that all content upholds those brand standards. Lead all pre-production set up and management for the marketing department, which includes scouting and booking locations, renting equipment, booking talent, setting up lighting and assisting as needed during marketing video and photo shoots. Serve as the main project manager of the marketing department and will manage production schedules, marketing calendars and content requests for the marketing creative team.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Creative Brand Management

  • Provide creative direction, project details, expectations and feedback to the marketing creative team to ensure project requests are aligning with expectations and delivered in a timely manner

  • Strategize with various internal departments and conduct needs analysis for creative marketing content and suggest optimal forms of media for projects

  • Work with marketing team and creative agency to lead template creation for common work needs including letterhead, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, digital newsletters, posters, etc. that uphold brand standards

  • Support productive and collaborative cross-functional partnerships with Live Experience, Communications, Strategy & Analytics, Digital Experience, Special Events, and Community Impact team.

  • Work with the brand marketing team to collaborate on media plans, promo item plan and ticket initiatives and create production strategy to help market as needed

  • Ensure the Cleveland Guardians brand is upheld in all creative areas and ensure consistency in all Guardians creative by reviewing all creative, developing efficiencies in request processes, and overseeing the creative production process.

Project Management

  • Manage the creative services process

    • Drive efficiencies and develop tools to help monitor and track progress

  • Continually assess projects for process or creative improvements. Develop best practices and benchmarks as a measuring post for marketing creative

  • Collaborate with departments to identify opportunities, develop plans, monitor progress and continually improve creative production process

  • Create and manage an internal content calendar to track and anticipate creative production needs/requests

  • Manage content requests and production schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects

  • Own and manage all aspects of the execution of current online creative services submission process

  • Assign projects and communicate deadlines to process owners based on direction from Marketing Director

  • Deliver content and overall project direction (including production calendar) to designated department manager

  • Assist in management of creative reviews to provide direction to creative team and to ensure quality control on all content

  • Conduct annual systematic review of creative workflow and identify any inefficiencies

  • Test process improvements in ‘beta’ approach among small sample of light and heavy users, and implement most well-received improvements among full population

Pre-Production Management

  • Plan video shoots which may include scouting location and talent, reserving location, booking talent, renting equipment and assisting with setup including lighting and blocking

  • Manage talent library and the addition of new talent

  • Manage current equipment stock while researching and advocating for new equipment needs. Planning for rental equipment to supplement

  • Manage audio track library and assist in obtaining creative audio needs including music tracks as well as voiceover talent

  • Continually assess projects for process or creative improvements. Develop best practices and benchmarks as a measuring post for marketing creative

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 2 year’s full-time experience in marketing, production or creative production field

  • Bachelor's Degree in Film, Broadcasting, Video Production, Marketing or related field – or equivalent professional experience

  • Experience with project management and project tracking software systems

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and RedCineX

  • Vast knowledge of Premiere Pro or comparable editing software

  • Knowledge of various cameras and audio equipment

  • Knowledge of video compression and file formats.

  • Awareness of popular culture and trending topics

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Robust interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and complete tasks within tight deadlines

  • Highly organized, with time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to effectively work under deadline pressure

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Available to work extended hours annually, especially during season for all home games as dictated by job responsibilities and workload good
