Job Purpose: To coordinate Cincinnati Reds promotional events including acting as lead coordinator for Reds ancillary events, scheduling of various Fan Zone elements, and serve as on-field gameday producer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work across all Reds departments to execute internal Reds events with the Reds Community Fund, Reds Hall of Fame & Museum and Community Relations
Events include: Season Ticket Member VIP Experience, STM Q&As, Consumer Clubs events, as well as Redsfest, the Reds Caravan, RCF Block Parties & other events as assigned
Occasional external off-site events
Managing, coordinating, and executing special events, conferences, administrative projects, etc, including:
Budget, schedule, and details of an event plan; Including floor plans and collateral needs
Serve as primary liaison to vendors on the development of booth or meeting floor plans, coordination of set up and tear down of events
Responsible for coordinating registrations, and attendee lists
Providing event content to be featured on Reds.com
Maintain event cost estimates
Responsible for working with Creative Services on event signage
Prepare purchase orders for payment of event materials
Coordinate and/or execute mass emails of event materials
Coordinate event and gameday intern staff activities when necessary
Manage all aspects of the Reds Fan Zone including but not limited to:
Scheduling of Fan Zone Bands, special nights such as Zoo Night, Reds Rookies events, Bark in the Park and more
Manage signage needs for multiple large-scale events
Assist in creating pregame and in game schedules under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Promotional Events and Game Presentation
Experience, Education and Licensure:
Bachelor’s degree in sports marketing or related field
One to five years of event planning and one to five years’ experience in customer service required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent computer skills including data base knowledge
Strong organizational and writing skills required
Ability to research, analyze and synthesize large amounts of data
Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects and work effectively under pressure
Ability to work independently
Ability to work overtime including nights and weekends and to meet deadlines is essential
Willingness to assist others with courtesy and cooperation
Reliability and dependability is essential
Must be willing to travel when necessary
Strong communication and customer service skills
