Position Summary: Responsible for producing deliverables by assisting the Reds Creative department with production and design of all related projects. A self-motivated individual who develops compelling visual content that connects with the team’s fans through multiple channels and platforms. The role requires a positive team player who has a passion for design. They have strong interpersonal collaborative skills and excel under tight deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with design team to facilitate projects, processes and workload
Assist with the planning and coordination of all Reds internal projects and graphic design related jobs
Work on production and design of all organizational creative deliverables including advertising, brochures, catalogs, flyers, order forms, pocket schedules, signage and posters, sponsor mockups, and publications
Work in collaboration with the creative, communications, marketing, and production departments to assure uniformity in design.
Proactively share work and welcome constructive feedback while striving for consistent improvement.
Ensure that graphics are grammatically correct and factually accurate.
Adhere to departmental and organizational style guide to help ensure consistent brand across all platforms
Edit and prepare all print projects for final outsource
Consult all internal customers on the specific processes and procedures of the Reds Creative department
Experience, Education and Licensure
Bachelors degree in graphic design, communication arts or a similar area of study is mandatory, has at least 3 years experience in the field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ideal candidate for this position must be a multi-talented visual artist who thrives in a team environment for a deadline-oriented department.
Exceptional project management skills are essential.
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of the printing process is a must.
A flexible schedule is vital, as the demands of the job will include many evening and weekend hours.
Because of the nature of the department’s projects, a strong knowledge of the Cincinnati Reds and Major League Baseball is essential.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
