The position will directly report to the Director, Social Impact & Outreach and will provide capacity to grow our investments and programs specifically related to growing awareness and exposure to the sport of hockey through our platform and utilizing our assets to develop and execute our broader outreach plan across Chicagoland.

Primary Responsibilities

Programmatic Development and Execution:

  • Evaluate the current design of our hockey programs including GOAL and GOAL 2.0

  • Support execution of programs with community partners and internal teams

  • Update any programmatic elements to ensure efficient and effective practices towards our social impact metrics

  • Develop and design new programs to engage various stakeholders across our community with a particular lens on awareness and exposure to the sport

  • Consider all programs and policies and update to ensure safety and inclusion are central to all programs

Outreach and Engagement:

  • Oversees and develops a strategic outreach and engagement plan with a focus on engaging local community organizations with a focus on key categories such as veterans/active service, healthcare, etc.

  • Supports relationship cultivation among community partner relationships, and maintains systems and processes to assess touchpoints and use of assets.

Alumni Scholarship Program and Fundraising Event

  • Alumni scholarship program: Oversees improvements and execution of the Alumni Scholarship program, along with the development of additional scholarship programs.

  • Scholarship Fundraising: Oversees annual fundraising event (ie. golf) to support alumni scholarship program(s).

Internal Team Management and Engagement:

  • Works strategically across all pillars to create opportunities for synergy and amplification of all partners

  • Works closely with Amateur Hockey team to ensure consistent communication and practices alongside their work

  • Understands the sport of hockey either from direct experience or through love of the game; must be able to navigate systems currently in place and engage with leaders from those systems/organizations in a knowledgeable manner

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
