In this role, you are responsible for strategic planning, organizing, managing, and executing of marketing campaigns & projects from inception to delivery. The scope of projects will vary in size from simple to multifaceted, multichannel marketing campaigns.
You will support all departments within the organization by successfully creating and activating projects that drive our business goals. You are responsible for facilitating collaboration and alignment between marketing, creative, communications, sales, partnerships, events, digital marketing, external contributors and other appropriate teams to realize project deliverables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead organization campaigns, including refining process and providing direction on campaign content (e.g., individual games sales, sales campaigns, special campaigns, etc.)
Develop and execute annual Start of Season Campaign which includes the Schedule Release, uniform unveils, Countdown to Tipoff/Tipoff Tour and activities related to Opening Night
Execute Team and Brand Identity related campaigns relative to uniforms, courts, anniversaries and milestones
Support HSE/NBA Initiatives including Her Time to Play, All Star Voting, Award Campaigns, Chinese New Year, MLK Jr Day and Black History Month
Support Hornets App campaigns, programs and activations
Support major Swarm & HornetsVenomGT campaigns and activations
Work in collaboration across HSE to coordinate Fan Development Events such as open practice and draft party
Assist with planning, coordination and activation of 12-15 game night Themes per season
Champion collaboration during meetings including marketing campaign discussions, ticket sales and partnerships strategy sessions, arena branding and production meetings, community relations planning sessions, season ticket services planning sessions, and ticket operations creative needs meetings
Support organization departments to define and clarify project requirements, inclusive of brainstorming and prioritization
Serve as liaison between departments, ensuring alignment, priorities, etc.
Establish strong working relationships and trust across departments, with internal teammates and the league office
Organize & manage external relationships with agencies, influencers, contributors and third parties
Research and present ideas and best practices relative to campaigns, projects, brand building opportunities, innovation (tools, resources, processes) and trends (social, cultural, entertainment lifestyle)
Recruit, lead, supervise, motivate and provide leadership to the marketing projects department team members using evaluation, training, coaching and situational practices
Provide planning, execution and tracking support for projects initiatives, and programs
Manage Events, Projects, Initiatives, Campaigns and Content (EPICC) Calendar including updates and related communications
Build annual organization campaign calendar in conjunction with appropriate departments (e.g., Hive Society renewal and new member sales, ticketing packages, NBA initiatives, individual game sales, opening night, theme nights, retail, CSR activations, etc.)
Game night and event activation responsibilities as necessary
Additional duties as assigned by manager and/or HSE
Required Skills, Experience and Abilities
To perform the job successfully, you should possess and/or demonstrate the following:
Bachelor’s in Marketing or related business degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 5-8 years in marketing project management experience
Ability to work with a wide variety of people and develop strong relationships
Ability to deliver results through others and take pride in achieving great things for the organization overall
Ability and passion to develop and lead direct reports
Strong collaboration & interpersonal skills – listens to others, works well in a team environment
Presents self in professional manner and have ability to interact and establish relationships with all levels of organization and outside contacts
Able to multi-task under time constraints, meet deadlines and work within a fast-paced industry/environment
Strong teamwork skills and ability to handle your own individual projects
Excellent communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
Flexibility to work necessary hours including evenings, weekends and holidays for games and events, as needed, and travel as assigned
Willingness and ability to provide proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination required. All religious, medical, or other legally recognized exemptions regarding vaccination status will be considered
