Charlotte FC is actively seeking a Community Relations Intern who will work directly with both Charlotte FC community initiatives and Camps and Clinics.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Will assist in ongoing Charlotte FC community initiatives including:

    • Captain’s Academy

    • Greater Goals

    • Pitches for Progress

  • Will assist in the planning and execution of events including making site visits and providing program and administrative support

  • Attend Community Partnership meetings

  • Assist in launching new community events:

    • Kick Childhood Cancer

    • Unified Team

    • Military Support initiatives

    • Meals on the Move

    • Charlotte Soccer Awards Banquet

    • Soccer Tennis Tournament

  • Assist with Camps and Clinics program in the community; program planning, promotion and registration, site coordination, equipment management

  • Work across multiple internal departments to help execute initiatives and events

  • Assist with day-to-day planning and project management of all programs and events

  • Additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Must have a valid US Driver’s license

  • Must pass pre-employment screens

  • Soccer knowledge is a plus

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position operates in a professional office environment and outside in a stadium facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Local travel to events may be required. This position typically works approximately 40 hours per week.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

  • Ability to remain sitting for up to 8 hours at a desk and computer

  • Ability to remain standing/walking for up to 8 hours

  • Ability to climb stairs

  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, and endure weather conditions, including rain, wind, high and low temperatures, etc.

  • Must be able to work in non-traditional settings, and work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and holidays
