The Position

Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation’s Building Operations Department is currently hiring for part-time, Licensed Security Guards. Do you enjoy going to events and experiencing the atmosphere? As an event security guard you will have the opportunity to attend multiple events hosted by Calgary Sport and Entertainment. You will be interacting with guests and ensuring that they have a safe enjoyable experience. We offer flexible shifts for enthusiastic individuals committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Key Accountabilities

  • To patrol assigned area(s);

  • To provide a safe, healthy and friendly environment;

  • Customer Service;

  • Report (verbally and/or written) any incidents or irregularities to supervisor/manager;

  • To be knowledgeable of building fire and disaster evacuation procedures;

  • All other duties as assigned.

The Individual

  • Capability to communicate positively with guests to establish their needs and provide information;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, problem solving, multi-tasking, and team environment;

  • The ability to review all aspects of security requirements and provide viable critiques to the Security Supervisor and Security/Loss Prevention Manager;

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time;

  • Occasionally walking and flights of stairs;

  • Able to lift up to 50lbs;

  • Flexible in solving situations/problems that may arise;

  • Schedule flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Absolute Requirements Prior to Starting:

  • Must have Alberta Security Guard License

  • Must be Pro Serve Certified
