The Bartender Assistant is responsible for assisting in set-up and stocking the station prior to event start as well as confirming a high quality of customer service and cleanliness is maintained throughout the shift. This role will be responsible for ensuring all company policy and regulations regarding food and alcohol service are abided by.

Functions (Purpose and Responsibilities)

  • Direct and assist stand workers in the set-up of the concessions stand including preparation of food, equipment, condiment counters, and displays;

  • Stock concessions stand prior to the event start;

  • Maintain proper inventory records and controls;

  • Perform cleaning duties as required;

  • Check concessions stand throughout the event to ensure the area is clean and operating efficiently;

  • Ensure stand procedures including regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages;

  • Close the stand at the end of the event by returning unused inventory, checking equipment, and conducting a final area clean;

  • Assist in filling customer orders, as required;

  • Ensure all cash handling follows company protocol;

  • Assist in the maintenance of all sales in the Point of Sales (POS) system;

  • All other duties as assigned.

Competencies (Experience and Educational Requirements)

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

  • 2+ years bartending/bartending assistance experience and POS knowledge is required;

  • Strong mathematical skills specifically in counting cash and making change;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once;

  • Positive, self-starter with strong communication skills;

  • Strong interpersonal and team work skills;

  • Schedule flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts.
