The Calgary Stampeders run an amateur football video program where we shoot and edit coaches film throughout the Calgary area. As a part-time Camera Operator you will be filming local amateur football games and other duties as assigned.

Functions (Purpose and Responsibilities)

  • Filming of high school football games;

  • The angle shot is coaches angle for coach and player review;

  • Games are on weeknights, September through mid-November;

  • Multiple shifts a week will be available;

  • Shifts start at 4:30pm and end around 9:00pm;

  • All other duties as assigned

Competencies

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

  • Experience operating a video camera;

  • Passion for sports and live productions;

  • Passion for Broadcast and Production;

  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal;

  • Schedule flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts;

This position will pay $24.00 per hour.

Certifications

  • Broadcast diploma is an asset;

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent low level, waist level and above shoulder lifting;

  • Frequent front and side carrying;

  • Medium lifting between 21 – 50lbs;

  • Occasional crouching, kneeling and reaching.
