• Coordinate and participate in all Sabres ball hockey events and school programming.

  • Lead all instruction for school programming (Primary duties will be performed out of office).

  • Create curriculum and practice planning for all school programming.

  • Work alongside physical education staff to organize participants and make sure safety standards are upheld.

  • Coordinate staffing for school programming.

  • Coordinate equipment ordering for school programming.

  • Work alongside the Sabres youth hockey department in implementing marketing and promotional strategies.

  • Other youth hockey/community relations duties as assigned.

Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate and instruct fundamental hockey skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Organized, thorough and detail-oriented.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Positive mindset and strong team spirit.

  • Ability to multitask and manage business relationships in a professional and confidential manner.

  • Ability to work nights and weekends.


  • Bachelor’s degree in sport and/or business management, athletic coaching, education, or a communication-related field.

  • Previous hockey playing experience a plus.

  • Coaching or teaching experience preferred.
