Summary

Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks which include but are not limited to; painting, drywall installation and finishing, basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, machine and equipment repair, building hardware repair and all other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to trouble shoot and initiate repairs with a minimum of help from the Maintenance Supervisor;

  • Works with the Maintenance Supervisor to develop the best approach to maintain and repair all aspects of the physical plant both interior and exterior;

  • May assist in various project work as necessary;

  • Must be able to utilize accumulated knowledge and analytical skills on occasion to solve unique problems, which may occur;

  • Be responsible and punctual;

  • Keep supervisor informed as necessary;

  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times;

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information and issues worked with;

  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident;

  • Ability to work safely and promote and create a safe work environment.

  • Must be able to work KeyBank Center Events (Sabres Games, Bandits Games & Special Events)

  • Maintain the physical property upkeep through the various weather seasons (snow removal)

  • Must be able to read, analyze and interpret written material and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds;

  • Walk up and down stairs;

  • Walk/stand for long periods;

  • Must be able to work on high ladders and personnel lifts;

  • A high school or equivalent trade school diploma;

  • 2 to 5 years of general building maintenance, or building trades experience preferred;

  • A valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
