The Law Clerk will be responsible for supporting the Buffalo Bills Legal Department. This is a part-time temporary position for the 2023-24 year beginning early June 2023 and concluding early May 2024. The Law Clerk will work approximately 35-40 hours per week during the summer of 2023 and 10-15 hours per week during the academic year. The Law Clerk will receive exposure to a variety of legal areas from an in-house perspective and gain experience in contractual, analytical, and other legal work in the context of a professional sports team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide legal research and analysis
Review agreements and other documents
Assist with special projects
Support all Bills Legal Department efforts as required
Other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree and be enrolled in and actively pursuing a Juris Doctor at an accredited law school in the United States; must be entering their 2L or 3L year
Must be available to work during the 2023 summer a schedule of 35-40 hours per week at our Orchard Park offices during regular business hours and 10-15 hours per week at our offices during the academic year 2023-2024 (potential for remote during the school year)
Strong research, writing, and organizational skills are required
Must be a self-starter and be comfortable working independently
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to coordinate projects from development through completion
Proficient in Microsoft Office
