The Senior Manager, Performance Marketing is responsible for guiding the paid media and lifecycle marketing strategy for initiatives that achieve objectives for our revenue generating businesses (ticketing and premium hospitality). The position will lead in the development and implementation of campaigns, including a year-round programming calendar highlighting key revenue driving & brand awareness programs across paid advertising channels (digital, social and OOH). The individual will also help oversee the consumer journey, ensuring that strategies are crafted to target the right audiences, with the proper campaigns, at the appropriate times to provide meaningful touchpoints to engage with BSE Global brands including the Brooklyn Nets.

The Senior Manager will closely align with the Ticketing, Business Intelligence, and Consumer Technology teams around the execution of campaigns and consumer journeys to drive revenue, conversion & awareness. This role will also manage the partnership with an external media buying agency, as well as develop and maintain comprehensive analytics reports on paid media results. This individual will leverage our customer data to drive action plans, audience targeting and automated journeys that deepen relationships/loyalty with our fans.

JOB DESCRIPTION – WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Serve as the internal media buying and planning lead for campaigns across Paid Social, SEM, Programmatic, Video, Audio, Print & OOH

  • Develop a deep understanding of our Ticketing and Premium Hospitality products, helping to build campaign objectives, benchmarking data and measurement models

  • Track paid media results and oversee campaign reporting in concert with agency partners

  • Create scalable, innovative approaches to managing and analyzing marketing performance data, with a focus on campaign optimization and establishing best practices

  • Develop A/B testing, segmentation strategies and attribution models with internal stakeholders and agency partners that maximize fan engagement

  • Supercharge a multi-channel, multi-touch lead acquisition, nurturing & retention strategy and champion our consumer journey roadmap

  • Collaborate with Ticketing Analytics, Business Intelligence & Consumer Technology teams on lead generation strategies, automation roadmaps & personalization capabilities

  • Oversee paid media budget management and align with Finance on tracking process

  • Liaise with ticketing partners to ensure their paid media campaigns are complimentary with ours, and highlight the correct events/messaging points

  • Collaborate with the Partnership Marketing to help oversee partner paid media programs

  • Support media and strategic partnerships where we have ad inventory to utilize

  • Broker trade & barter partnerships that expand our reach and engage new audiences

  • Provide strategic guidance on paid media needs for BSE Global events, brands and business units

  • Monitor industry trends/best practices and stay informed on the competitive landscape

CANDIDATE PROFILE – WHO YOU ARE:

  • 7+ years of Paid Media, CRM and/or Consumer Marketing experience (brand or agency)

  • Proven experience as a Media Buyer (or similar role) and managing media budgets

  • Foundational knowledge of Paid Social, SEM, SEO, Programmatic and Display tactics

  • Intimate understanding of Digital Media and Marketing Automation principles

  • Experience working with sales and revenue generating departments is beneficial

  • Possess sharp analytical skills and proclivity to leverage data to inform decision making, test hypotheses and optimize strategies

  • Track record of partnering cross-departmentally to create targeted customer journeys, segmenting strategies and/or support loyalty programming

  • An intellectually curious, creative problem solver, with strong decision-making capabilities

  • Ability to develop and grow productive, sustainable internal & external relationships

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • A highly collaborative, adaptable teammate with capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective time management, attention to detail and project management skills

Travel Requirements

May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $110,000
