The Sr. Manager, Content will be responsible for daily content production, channel management, and publishing across social media channels for the Brooklyn Nets and other BSE Global properties. This role will work collaboratively with the Content team and across the business to develop social media content that fosters engagement. This individual will oversee social platform strategy, provide best-in-class solutions to stimulate audience growth and diversify distribution tactics. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how people consume social content, have an eye for detail, and serve as an expert on the sports media landscape.
JOB DESCRIPTION - WHAT YOU WILL DO
Own the editorial calendar and oversee day-to-day social publishing for the Nets and additional BSE Global accounts
Develop organic social media channel strategies and lead the development of campaigns in conjunction with the Director, Content
Quarterback live coverage of Nets games and other team events, ensuring quality and consistency across all channels
Curate, prioritize, and produce content that is consistent with team and brand messaging
Build cross-platform, detailed distribution plans for priority content franchises
Oversee the evolution of Nets Podcast strategy and distribution
Liaise with the Global Partnerships department to conceptualize and develop pitch materials for content platforms with partners
Support the production and execution of all partner content franchises, ensuring concepts deliver against objectives and brand narratives for both parties
Collaborate with additional internal departments including Community, PR, DE&I and Ticketing to ensure their goals are met through thoughtful content and storytelling executions
Assist with influencer and talent content strategy and amplification
Prepare reporting documents for both internal and client usage that demonstrate return on objective and highlight success benchmarking
Help facilitate strategic partnerships across the content and social media ecosystem
Stay on top of social media trends and integrate new programming for the Nets
CANDIDATE PROFILE - WHO YOU ARE:
5-7 years’ experience in a social media role preferred
Strong understanding of the Sports, Media & Entertainment landscape preferred
Deep understanding of current and emerging social media platforms & trends
Strong visual eye with regard to the production and curation of social media content (photography, video, graphics)
Expertise in the branded content space and liaising with sales organizations is beneficial
Experience with social media measurement tools such as Conviva and CrowdTangle
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of the NBA, the Nets and basketball culture is strongly preferred
Proven track record of excelling in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication, including advanced presentation skills
Strong attention to detail and project management capabilities
Ability to develop meaningful, trust-based working relationships
May be required to travel on occasions; trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
Works primarily in an office environment but upon request will be expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
