The Paid Media Specialist is responsible for guiding the media strategy for initiatives that achieve objectives related to our revenue generating businesses (ticket sales, premium hospitality and merchandise) and expanding the reach of BSE Global brands across the digital ecosystem. The position will lead in the development and implementation of transactional media campaigns, including a year-round programming calendar highlighting key revenue driving & brand awareness programs across paid advertising channels (digital, social and OOH).

The Specialist will closely align with the Ticketing, Premium Hospitality, Business Intelligence, and Consumer Technology teams around the execution of paid campaigns to drive revenue, conversion & awareness. This role will also manage the partnership with an external media buying agency, as well as develop and maintain comprehensive internal analytics reports on all paid media results and recommended campaign optimizations.


  • Serve as the internal media buying and planning lead for the Brooklyn Nets, executing campaigns across Paid Social, SEM, Programmatic, Video, Audio, Print, OOH, etc.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our Ticketing and Premium Hospitality products, helping to build campaign objectives, benchmarking and measurement models

  • Track paid media results and report internally on all campaigns in a timely manner, while also managing key reporting documents in concert with agency partners

  • Develop attribution models with Business Intelligence team and agency partners

  • Analyze results with key stakeholders including Ticketing Analytics, Business Intelligence & Consumer Technology, and adapt plans as appropriate

  • Oversee paid media budget management and align with Finance on tracking process

  • Liaise with ticketing partners to ensure their paid media campaigns are complimentary with ours, and highlight the correct events/messaging points

  • Collaborate with the Partnership Marketing to help oversee partner paid media programs

  • Support media and strategic partnerships where we have ad inventory to utilize

  • Broker trade & barter partnerships that expand our reach and engage new audiences

  • Consult on paid media initiatives for additional BSE Global events and brands

  • Provide strategic guidance to internal colleagues around how paid media solutions can best help us achieve platform specific goals for integrated marketing campaigns

  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence team on inbound lead generation strategies, audience segmentation and targeting around paid media initiatives

  • Monitor industry trends/best practices and stay informed on the competitive landscape


  • 5+ years of paid media industry experience (brand and/or agency)

  • Proven experience as a Media Buyer or similar role and managing budget for media buys

  • Foundational knowledge of Paid Social, SEM, SEO, Programmatic and Display tactics

  • Expertise across the Sports, Media, Entertainment & Events landscapes a major plus

  • Intimate understanding of Digital Media and Integrated Marketing principles is preferred

  • Experience working with sales and revenue generating departments is beneficial

  • Possess sharp analytical skills and proclivity to leverage data to inform decision making

  • An intellectually curious, creative problem solver, with strong decision-making capabilities

  • Ability to develop and grow productive, sustainable internal & external relationships

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • A highly collaborative, adaptable teammate with capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective time management, attention to detail and project management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

Travel Requirements

May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

Work Environment

Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.\
