Manager, Youth Basketball
Brooklyn Nets Basketball Academy is seeking a Youth Basketball Manager who will be responsible for growing Academy programming. The position will have a focus on the preparation and execution of our community clinics.
Brooklyn Nets Basketball Academy
Schedule clinics, onsite setup, and breakdown
Clinics, Camps, Skills Challenges, Educational Forums, Coaches Clinics, Coach of the Year, 3-Point Contest, Tournaments
Including clinicians schedule and payroll
Oversee the day-to-day logistics of the Community Clinic program
Serve as liaison between schools and non-profits for Academy Community Clinics program
Support the overall expansion and execution of Academy programming
Create and distribute Academy program recaps
Provide administrative and operational assistance for all Academy programming
Work closely with Nets Group Sales and NY Liberty ticket sales department for program ticket redemption
Work closely with NY Liberty SR team for collaborated clinics.
Assist in developing new programming with crucial community partners designed to support and expand youth basketball experience for kids, parents, and coaches
Contribute in strategizing, content creation, and data analysis for Academy social media channels and HomeCourt
Establish and expand relationships with youth basketball organizations
Support Jr. NBA Initiatives
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
5+ (2+ years if Coordinator position) years of prior youth sports and marketing experience with a track record of leading large-scale basketball events and/or programs is required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Capacity to handle multiple projects, from ideation to execution
Vast experience and relationships in youth basketball is highly regarded
Must be able to work in a team environment
Highly communicative, excellent verbal skills
Flexible schedule, available to work weekends and holidays when needed
Salary Range
$71,000 - $77,000
