The Account Coordinator will assist with the management, maintenance, and renewal of high-profile sponsor accounts and well as providing administrative and departmental support to the Sr. Director of Partnership Marketing Sales. The high-profile account servicing may include assistance with the implementation, creation, and facilitation of promotions related to hospitality, community programs, media, and signage for all clients.

The individual will use independent judgment to prioritize and prepare recaps, book travel arrangements, prepare and edit correspondence, handle incoming correspondence and special requests. It is critical that the Account Coordinator has the ability and emotional maturity to exercise sound judgment regarding confidential matters and hold high regard for ethical behavior. The individual should always be five steps ahead, thinking proactively and suggesting new ways to contribute while maintaining a positive attitude.

I. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be responsible for a minimum of three to five partnership accounts;

  • Aid in the execution of marketing strategies as well as all sponsor events for various accounts and initiatives;

  • Support the department establish relationships at the highest levels with both sponsors and media partners;

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Sales department to ensure that inventory elements are accurately incorporated into sponsorship packages;

  • Research new opportunities to grow each corporate partner by keeping up-to-date with goals, objectives, and the competitive landscape of the market;

  • Expected to attend Brooklyn Nets home games and assist the department host sponsors and oversee in-arena promotions;

  • Arrange detailed and complex LED signage as well as TV & Radio trafficking schedules;

  • Manage Microsoft Outlook calendars (scheduling both internal and external meetings) according to those business priorities;

  • Coordinate and prepare all collateral for meetings;

  • Compile and organize documentation for review and approval by Senior Leadership;

  • Prepare all outgoing correspondence to include email messages, memos, etc.;

  • Perform complex and confidential administrative responsibilities;

  • Handl special requests for clients, which may include game tickets, tickets to other events, merchandise, gifts, etc.;

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

II. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred;

  • 2 or more years of experience in either marketing, partnership marketing, sponsorship, corporate sales and/or client development required;

III. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Confident, resilient, and possess a high level of energy and passion;

  • Very dynamic, forward-thinking, highly analytical and organized;

  • Working experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook);

  • Must have the presence, visibility, and record of accomplishment which will enable the individual to immediately establish credibility both within the organization and with individuals external to it;

  • Solutions-orientated and resourceful;

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide variety of audiences, demonstrating strong communication skills;

  • Comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills;

  • Must hAave good decision-making skills, express solid judgment and interpersonal effectiveness;

  • A flexible and reliable teammate, both within the department and company;

  • Have a strong command of reasoned, measured decision-making based upon analyzing the pros and cons of each potential decision to be made.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5%); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Account Coordinator will spend the majority of their time at Corporate Headquarters, but will be expected to attend Brooklyn Nets games at Barclays Center, as well as other events that may take place on weekends and/or holidays.
